Bikstok Røgsystem is beyond doubt the biggest newcomer act on the Danish music scene in 2005. Despite all the glitz surrounding these talented guys, the truth is that they never meant for all this to happen.Spawned from the underground scene surrounding Copenhagen’s No.1 reggae weekly Rub-A-Dub-Sundays at ‘Stengade 30’, they wanted to make a reggae/ragga album with a bit of hip-hop influence for themselves and their friends. Since then they have been on the official Danish album chart for more than a year, peaking at No.1 with their debut ‘Over Stok Og Sten’ (Copenhagen Records). They have won numerous awards and have a fully booked tour-schedule!
Bikstok Røgsystem is a DJ trio consisting of : Eaggerman, who invented the whole Bikstok idea; with a Jamaican dad, he grew up in the #1 reggae collective in Copenhagen, ‘Skyjuice Soundsystem’, Pharfar, Denmark’s premier dub and reggae producer – recent winner in the category: Producer Of The Year 06 at the Danish Music Awards, and Bukki Blæs, known from the successful and most respected Danish hip hop group Malk De Kojn.
Bikstok Røgsystem always draws massive crowds to their concerts, where they set afire not only funny tobacco but also a massive party among the audience. At their concerts, Bikstok is backed by Riddim Force Band, Denmark’s No. 1 riddimband, and the group has played with several international reggae stars such as Half Pint, Shinehead, Spectacular, Lady Saw & Jah Mason, Chucki Starr etc.…
