Søren Schou, alias Pharfar, is firmly established as one of Denmark's biggest producers, especially when it comes to reggae & dancehall. With bullish stamina Pharfar has introduced Denmark to Jamaican music. A true pioneer pushing the sound long before it hit the mainstream. But when it finally did, Pharfar was in the centre, making multiplatinum records and hit-singles both as a producer (artists like Natasja, Wafande, Shaka Loveless) a member of Bikstok Røgsystem and as a solo artist (hits like ‘La’ Mig Rulle Dig’)

The walls in Pharfar's Studio in Copenhagen witness that his determined focus has paid off. The walls are covered in gold and platinum records. He has received numerous awards and top reviews for his works. Among the awards he has also received a Danish Music Award for producer of the year. The Award was given for his work with the platinum selling debut album from Bikstok Røgsystem. Pharfar was also the primary producer for multi platinum selling Natasja (RIP) on her 3 albums 'Release', 'I Danmark Er Jeg Født' and 'Shooting Star'. Simultaneously Pharfar has produced for many of the big international stars of Jamaican music scene like Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal, Sizzla, Michael Rose and many more.

Since 2008 Pharfar have been teaming up with Fresh-I as Donkey Sound. Together the two have started a new era within reggae / dancehall with stars such as Wafande, Kaka and Shaka Loveless.

In 2013 Pharfar surprised everyone and released his solo debut single 'La' Mig Rulle Dig' which was the biggest Danish hit of the summer. The single has received 3 x platinum for streaming. In 2014 his debut EP “Alt Er Godt” was released and Pharfar won two Danish Deejay Awards for his mega hit “La' Mig Rulle Dig". In 2016 Pharfar released his second EP 'Kawasaki' with the hit single 'Alt For Mange Mænd' charting in the top of the Dance Chart for more than three months.
